Today I have for you a TAG video. I don’t usually do many of these because sometimes I find them quite repetitive, but I saw this one on Fleur de Force’s channel and I loved it. I think its a great video to find out about products that have been hyped in Youtube but that were actually worth the hype. I am going through all the beauty and skincare products that I have purchased over the last few years which were recommended by fellow Youtubers, and most of them have worked wonders so I hope you enjoy this video and if you do please don’t forget to subscribe to my Youtube channel.
I am back with a monthly favourites and believe it or not its actually one for February! I know it is coming a little bit late but I have included a little bit of stuff I have been using in March to compensate! I feel like I have made a lot of new discoveries in the last few months specially when it comes to skincare, some being new launches and other products I had simply not heard of before. However, despite finding new loves I have also re-discovered old favourites which I had sort of forgotten about.
If you want to find out what I have been loving then definitely watch the video, there is a lot of makeup and skincare in this one so if you are a beauty junkie like me I think you will enjoy it!
Today I wanted to share with you my realistic weekly beauty routine. I had mentioned in a previous video that I like to keep Fridays as a bit of a ‘me’ day and I usually get my hair and nails done and do a little bit of a pamper routine at home. A few people requested I shared this, so I thought I would take you along with me! I am taking you to some of my favourite spots in London, where I have been going to get my hair and nails done for years. Getting my nails done on Fridays has been a bit of weekly ritual for years and I am always amazed at how put together something so small can make you feel.
In this video I also wanted to share with you what I do at home as a sort of weekly beauty regime, from face masks to foot scrubs and lots more. So I hope you enjoy this video and if you please don’t forget to subscribe to my Youtube Channel.
Packing is something I have always hated! I know this doesn’t sound like a very positive start to a post, but I really do! Sometimes I even feel I wouldn’t go away on holiday just so that I didn’t have to pack. I have always found packing stressful, tedious and very draining as it involves a lot of thinking believe it or not: And despite investing all this time and effort on it, I always feel like when I reach my destination I have left something behind.
Given I am going away to Dubai yet again, this time for a friends wedding – and its all fresh in my mind I thought I would share with you my top ten essentials which I must always have with me when I am travelling, no matter where I go.
Beauty and makeup are for me the most two essential categories of things to take when I am going away. When I am travelling I often find myself having nightmares a couple of nights before about me reaching my destination and having forgotten to pack my makeup bag (god forbid that ever happens! I would probably just fly back home lol). But it is also the stuff which I can’t pack till the very end because I need most things on a daily basis, so I always fear I will forget something. So my absolute must haves for makeup have to be my Dior BB cream which can double up as a primer and a foundation, concealer (I cannot live without my Cle de Peau concealer, nothing give me the coverage of this baby), my Anastasia Contour Kit and my beauty blender. I feel like anything else I forget I can probably just buy wherever I land but I am so specific about the brand of these products that I can’t bear the though of not having them with me (I sometimes wonder what I did before I had them in my life!)
For skincare something I am always trying not to forget is a cleanser. I stopped using soap based cleansers a while ago because they tend to break me out and since then I have had a long and loving relationship with my Toleriane cream cleanser from La Roche Posay. This is perfect for removing all makeup, including the eyes and its not greasy but at the same time it doesn’t strip your skin.
Another essential has to be moisturisers, and although I tend to carry a night oil for my evening routine, an SPF for the day time and also some sort of light moisturiser, if push comes to shove I could really do with just one. My choice at the moment would be the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. It has an amazing texture, and leaves your skin feeling plum, hydrated and luminous without making it greasy, its great base for makeup and it even has a little SPF, so it covers all the bases!
Finally some tweezers are an absolute must have to keep my hairy face under control, right now I am loving Superdrug’s own brand, they are amazing at plucking even the tiniest of hairs out. A few more essentials are my phone charger, some headphones (trust me a plane ride without these seems endless!) and a toothbrush which believe it or not is something I always forget to pack!
I hope this was useful and that I now don’t actually forget to pack any of these for my trip. Stay tuned to my social media to see what I get upto while I am away!
As you may know from some of my earlier posts I am somewhat of a skincare mask junkie so here I am going to show you what my Top 5 Skincare Masks are, a little review on them and I will also tell you how I like to apply them.
I hope you enjoy the video!
So given last week you got ready with me I thought this week we could get unready together. Continue reading Get Unready With Me | Evening Skincare Routine
