5 Minute Makeup Challenge

If you have been following my blog for a while you will know I am definitely not one to get ready in a rush. Anyone who knows me will probably tell you that my biggest flaw, is that it takes me over an hour and half to get out of the door on a daily basis so I thought it would be super fun to film this video and take on the 5 minute makeup challenge!

A  lot friends and viewers had been requesting me to do a video showing a quick and easy routine that they could use on daily basis, and whilst i am not sure I would walk out of the ouse like this, it definitely doesn’t get quicker than 5 minutes so I hope you enjoy the video!

Youtube Made Me Buy It

Today I have for you a TAG video. I don’t usually do many of these because sometimes I find them quite repetitive, but I saw this one on Fleur de Force’s channel and I loved it.  I think its a great video to find out about products that have been hyped in Youtube but that were actually worth the hype. I am going through all the beauty and skincare products that I have purchased over the last few years which were recommended by fellow Youtubers, and most of them have worked wonders so I hope you enjoy this video and if you do please don’t forget to subscribe to my Youtube channel.

Fall/Winter Vampy Look | Makeup Tutorial

Today I have for you a makeup tutorial perfect for the winter season but also for any upcoming parties or events you have in the lead up to Christmas. It is quite a glam look but I think its easy to tone down if you want to wear it during the day and its also perfect for all skin tones. I love the burgundy berry lips paired with the smokey eye for evening event, I think its very sexy but at the same time can look quite sophisticated if paired with dewy skin . Im using a mix of drugstore and high-end products so there is something for everyone! I hope you enjoy this look and if you do please don’t forget to subscribe to my channel.

Top Ten Travel Essentials

Packing is something I have always hated! I know this doesn’t sound like a very positive start to a post, but I really do! Sometimes I even feel I wouldn’t go away on holiday just so that I didn’t have to pack. I have always found packing stressful, tedious and very draining as it involves a lot of thinking believe it or not: And despite investing all this time and effort on it, I always feel like when I reach my destination I have left something behind.

Given I am going away to Dubai yet again, this time for a friends wedding –  and its all fresh in my mind I thought I would share with you my top ten essentials which I must always have with me when I am travelling, no matter where I go.

Beauty and makeup are for me the most two essential categories of things to take when I am going away. When I am travelling I often find myself having nightmares a couple of nights before about me reaching my destination and having forgotten to pack my makeup bag (god forbid that ever happens! I would probably just fly back home lol). But it is also the stuff which I can’t pack till the very end because I need most things on a daily basis, so I always fear I will forget something. So my absolute must haves for makeup have to be my Dior BB cream which can double up as a primer and a foundation, concealer (I cannot live without my Cle de Peau concealer, nothing give me the coverage of this baby), my Anastasia Contour Kit and my beauty blender. I feel like anything else I forget I can probably just buy wherever I land but I am so specific about the brand of these products that I can’t bear the though of not having them with me (I sometimes wonder what I did before I had them in my life!)

For skincare something I am always trying not to forget is a cleanser. I stopped using soap based cleansers a while ago because they tend to break me out and since then I have had a long and loving relationship with my Toleriane cream cleanser from La Roche Posay. This is perfect for removing all makeup, including the eyes and its not greasy but at the same time it doesn’t strip your skin.

Another essential has to be moisturisers, and although I tend to carry a night oil for my evening routine, an SPF for the day time and also some sort of light moisturiser, if push comes to shove I could really do with just one. My choice at the moment would be the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. It has an amazing texture, and leaves your skin feeling plum, hydrated and luminous without making it greasy, its great base for makeup and it even has a little SPF, so it covers all the bases!

Finally some tweezers are an absolute must have to keep my hairy face under control, right now I am loving Superdrug’s own brand, they are amazing at plucking even the tiniest of hairs out.  A few more essentials are my phone charger, some headphones (trust me a plane ride without these seems endless!) and a toothbrush which believe it or not is something I always forget to pack!

I hope this was useful and that I now don’t actually forget to pack any of these  for my trip. Stay tuned to my social media to see what I get upto while I am away!

Starter Makeup Kit Part I

I get a lot of questions about what eyeshadow to buy when you are starting off, or what foundation to get if you only want to have one, so I thought I would show you what I think are the absolutely essential products when you want to start out with makeup.

With so much variety in the market it can be really daunting to build your make up kit at first and from my own experience I know it can be very difficult to narrow down your choice, which means you end up buying lots of products you don’t end up using.

In this video series I am going to go through the items I recommend  to build a basic makeup kit that will have full proof, easy to apply products that will see you through every occasion both day and night.
