Youtube Made Me Buy It

Today I have for you a TAG video. I don’t usually do many of these because sometimes I find them quite repetitive, but I saw this one on Fleur de Force’s channel and I loved it.  I think its a great video to find out about products that have been hyped in Youtube but that were actually worth the hype. I am going through all the beauty and skincare products that I have purchased over the last few years which were recommended by fellow Youtubers, and most of them have worked wonders so I hope you enjoy this video and if you do please don’t forget to subscribe to my Youtube channel.

Monthly Favourites | February

I am back with a monthly favourites and believe it or not its actually one for February! I know it is coming a little  bit late but I have included a little bit of stuff I have been using in March to compensate! I feel like I have made a lot of new discoveries in the last few months specially when it comes to skincare, some being new launches and other products I had simply not heard of before. However, despite finding new loves I have also re-discovered old favourites which I had sort of forgotten about.

If you want to find out what I have been loving then definitely watch the video, there is a lot of makeup and skincare in this one so if you are a beauty junkie like me I think you will enjoy it!

Armani Prima Glow On Balm – The Ultimate Moisturiser

Moisturiser is probably not the most exciting product when it comes to beauty, and I have to admit that for the longest time I was not very excited by skincare in general. Finding the best mascara, foundation or lipstick was always on my radar, as it was something visible, and why not say it a lot more ‘pretty’ to buy. Makeup usually has beautiful colours to choose from and sophisticated packaging. However, as I get older I have realised that no matter how good your makeup is nothing sits well if you don’t take good care of the canvas underneath, so focusing on skincare and getting products that work well with my skin no matter how flashy or not their packaging is, has become top of my priority list when it comes to purchasing beauty products.

If you have been watching my tutorials for a while, you will probably know that I have been using the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream for quite a while, and I honestly still think its an amazing moisturiser, specially if you are going to wear in under makeup. However, I recently ran out of my ginormous tub (it is definitely worth the money , mine lasted for over a year) and I was not giving a second thought to repurchasing, but around that time I started hearing lots of great things about Armani’s new Prima Range, specifically their Glow-On Moisturising Balm. I had never actually tried Armani skincare, and till date I had never been too fond of skincare ranges of brands which don’t focus on beauty, i.e. brands who also do clothing, accessories, etc… and the only thing I had actually tried by Armani, was their Luminous Silk Foundation, which actually featured in my recent Disappointing Beauty Products video, so as you may guess it didn’t make the cut.  However, I heard so many people say that this product was a great base for makeup and it was sort of an improved version of the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream, that I decided to give it a go.

CLARINS V-FACIAL INTENSIVE WRAP | First Impressions

As you may already know I am a bit of a skincare junkie and one of my main concerns when it comes to my face is the fact that it is quite puffy and bottom heavy, and I think I may just have found the answer to all my prayers. I have been considering fillers to redefine my facial contours for quite some time but when I heard about this product, I said to myself ‘I have to try this!’and now I am actually reconsidering whether fillers are actually even necessary!

In this video I am reviewing and trying on camera Clarins’ Shaping Facial Lift V-Facial Intensive Wrap Mask, which claims not only to smooth and decongest skin but also to reduce puffiness, help tense the skin and define facial contours.

Clarins is a brand which I have grown to love in the last few years. I had never really noticed them much before but once I tried their blue orchid face treatment oil, I was floored. This  is honestly one of the best skincare products I have tried in a very long time. So when I heard of this mask which actually is part of a full range, which is meant to define facial contours and reduce puffiness I was beyond excited. But if you want to find out how I got on with this product then check out the video below and if you enjoy it please don’t forget to subscribe to my Youtube channel.

Disappointing Beauty Products

I love sharing with you the products I am loving every month, but today I thought I would give a brief mention to those which have disappointed me over the years. Be it because they really didn’t work on my skin, or hair, because they broke me out or simply because I think they weren’t worth the splurge, today I am telling you about those products that I have not really wowed me. So I hope you find this video useful and if you have any products which you have found disappointing then please do share below!

What’s In My Bag | Travel Edition

Given most of you really enjoyed my last what’s in my bag video, I thought I would do an updated one but this time telling you all about what I have in my carry on bag when I travel. I always like to take with me a small suitcase on the flight when I travel, even if I have an almost empty check in suitcase.

I always carry all my powder makeup essentials to stop them from breaking, any jewellery, all my tech and anything else I need during the flight or that I am too scared too loose (given I have had quite a few bad experiences with bags disappearing in airports!). So I hope you enjoy this video and if you do please don’t forget to subscribe to my Youtube channel.

£140 Foundation Worth It? | La Prairie Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation

I have had a longstanding love affair with my Touch Eclat foundation by YSL. My wedding makeup artist  was the one who introduced me to it and I loved the way it made my skin looked from the first day I used it. The YSL Touche Eclat foundation for me has the perfect balance, its not oily but it leaves your skin glowing and has a great staying power. If you have been following this blog and my Youtube channel for a while you will know I have rarely used anything else in my tutorials, but now that I had completely run out of it it was time to try out something new.

Last week I tried out the Dior Diorskin Forever foundation and I have to stay that although it lasted well throughout the day and the coverage was good, I wasn’t overly in love with the super matte finish. If you want to find out more about how I got on with it here is the link to my video, where I do an in-depth review of this foundation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xw6AxqEl3fg.
Luckily I hadn’t purchased a full size bottle of the Dior Forever foundation, so I decided to try out the La Prairie Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation. It is an eye wateringly expensive foundation, at a £140 a pop it does create a massive dent in your pocket, but especially if you have mature or dehydrated skin it is an absolute miracle product.
