Easter Break in Paris

As you may know if you have been following up on my posts I took a little easter break to Paris a couple of weeks ago. I love city breaks because I find them the perfect get away to get a bit of rest and a bit of a change in scenery, without having to plan much in advance.

When I head out for short breaks like that I don’t like to pack too much, however too little can be a nightmare as well, given I don’t usually know exactly what we will be doing, so I like to be ready for any spontaneous plans that may come up. When I go for longer holidays, a key part of my packing process is to plan outfits, but when I head out to a city break I tend to choose a few key pieces which I know I want to have with me and then try to find a few other pieces that will match these and which I can use interchangeably to create a few different outfits, for e.g. a pair of jeans which will go with everything.

With shoes and bags I tend to do the same, I will take 1 comfy pair to use during the day that will go with all my outfits and a pair of heels for the evening and with bags I will carry a large one for travel and to use more casually and a smaller bag which I can use for the evening or can use cross body during they day when I don’t want to carry too much.

For this trip we weren’t too sure what the weather was going to be like in Paris, as it can be quite unpredictable so I decided to go  a few chunky knits and tops which I could layer up if it got colder aswell as 2 pairs of jeans  for the day and for the evening I took  a  couple of tops to pair up with my new culotte pants. I knew we would probably be doing a lot of sight seeing, but given it is an ultra chic city I still wanted to look polished during the day, so I took my Ferragamo high boots and my YSL tassel bag so I could add a touch of elegance to all my outfits whilst still keeping it comfy. For the evening I took a nude pair of chunky heels by Louis Vuitton which weren’t too uncomfortable in case we wanted to go for a stroll but still added that element of glamour to my outfits.
