Quick, Easy, Healthy & Super Delicious Meal!

Cooking has always been a passion and although I love elaborate dishes sometimes you just don’t have the time to be experimenting in the kitchen and you want to whip up something delicious and healthy very quickly.  This is an absolute favourite of mine, its super healthy as it has minimal calories but all the nutrients you need, and at the same time it is also filling, delicious and ready in just 10 minutes! So no excuse for takeaways or ready meals ever again!!

All you need is:

  • Sea bass (1 large fillet or 2 small ones)
  • 1 medium sized potato
  • 80g tenderstem broccoli
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Italian herb mix

Pre heat the oven at 180°C in fan mode for about 10 minutes (this might vary slightly depending on your oven) 

While the oven heats up prepare the sea bass place it on an oven tray, drizzle a small amount of olive oil and spread it out with a silicone brush

Season the fish with salt, freshly ground pepper and some italian herb mix

Peal the potato and cut it into thin slices

Spread the potato slices on a microwavable dish, season with salt and some italian herb mix and drizzle a small amount of olive oil. Then use your hands to mix and ensure all slices are coated in seasoning and oil. Redistribute on the plate making sure to spread out evenly

Cover the dish with the potatoes and at full power, microwave the potato for about 4-5 minutes or until they are soft

Once the potato slices are ready place them on the oven tray together with the sea bass and put this in the oven for 5 minutes at 180°C in fan mode

While the fish and potato bake, cut the tender stem broccoli into pieces of about 10cm, wash, drain and place into a microwavable dish. Cover and microwave at full power for about 5 or 6 minutes depending on how soft your like your vegetables

Season your cooked broccoli with some salt and a small drizzle of olive oil and dish up with the fish and potato

And there you have it a super quick, easy and delicious home made meal!

Nutritional Info: Approximately 400 calories / under 9g of fat (of which less than 4g are saturated fat)


  • Sea bass is very low in calories and an excellent source of protein (40% of your daily intake in an 85g serving)
  • Broccoli is one of the healthiest vegetables out there. It has special cholesterol-lowering benefits, helps your body detox and helps reduce allergies. It is also super filling which together with the potato helps you feel fuller longer to avoid snacking in between meals
